Andrzej Sionek
Biography
He started his education at one of the best Polish universities — the Medical Academy in Warsaw. A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine in 1991. Immediately after completing his studies, he began his professional work at the Independent Public Clinical Hospital in Otwock, where he works to this day. He is a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system. Since 2008 he has been the Head of the IB Department and is an assistant professor at the Clinic of Orthopedics, Orthopedics and Pediatric Traumatology of the Center for Medical Postgraduate Education headed by Prof. Jarosław Czubak, PhD.
He is the author of the doctoral dissertation entitled “Development of hip joints in children with multiple pregnancies”., as well as a member of the Polish Orthopedic and Traumatology Society, and since 2007 a member of the European Society of Pediatric Orthopedics. In 2009 he became a member of the Scientific Committee (Reeding Committee) qualifying scientific works at the XXVIII, XXIX and XXX Congresses of the European Society of Pediatric Orthopedics (EPOS). In 2013 I was elected a member of the Scientific Committee of the Polish Society of Foot and Ankle and Shin Joint. He is the author of numerous speeches at national and foreign congresses and numerous publications in the field of pediatric orthopedics and traumatology and adult orthopedics (list of speeches and publications attached). He has completed numerous national and foreign internships, among others, at the Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago and the American Hospital in Dubai.
He has completed numerous advanced courses at home and abroad, organized by the European Orthopedic Society, the European Society of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. The courses in which he participated were: congenital and acquired foot defects, developmental dysplasia of the hip joints, ultrasound of the hip joints in newborns and infants, Perthes disease, juvenile desquamation of the femoral head, residual hip dysplasia, femoracetal hip conflict, scoliosis, degenerative disease Osteoarthritis of the hip joints, osteoarthritis, foot diseases and deformities, rheumatoid arthritis, osteomyelitis, bone fractures in children and adults and many others. He is also involved in the treatment of patients with complicated defects and deformities of the musculoskeletal system.
Dr. Sionek is a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of joint diseases of all ages - from newborns to the elderly.
