Maciej Jedrzejczyk
Biography
He graduated from the Medical Academy in Łódź in 1999. Since 2002 his passion has been ultrasound. Since 2003 he has been an academic lecturer at the Department of Imaging Diagnostics of the Second Faculty of Medicine, currently at the Medical Faculty of the Medical University of Warsaw and an assistant in the Department of Ultrasound Diagnostics with the Mammography Laboratory at the Mazowieckie Bródnowski Hospital.
In 2010, he obtained the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences after defending his doctoral thesis entitled “Evaluation of the usefulness of ultrasound three-dimensional imaging (3D) and ultrasound contrast agents (uśk) of the 2nd generation in the diagnosis of liver hemangiomas”. He received the Professor Zdzisław Boron Award granted by the Polish Ultrasound Society for the best doctoral thesis in the field of ultrasonography defended in 2008-2010. Since 2006 he has a Certificate of Ultrasound of the Polish Ultrasound Society, since 2013 he has a Certificate of Skills in General Diagnosis of Ultrasound from the Polish Medical Radiological Society.
He has completed research internships in the Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden and Italy. He worked in the Image Diagnostics Department of several Warsaw hospitals, including 5 years at the Institute of Mother and Child. Co-author and co-contractor of grants financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as well as Polish and foreign scientific projects. Author and co-author of a dozen scientific publications and several monographs and chapters of books on ultrasound in Polish and English.
He has given several dozen papers at national and international congresses. Laureate of the Minister of Health Award as co-author of the monograph “Ultrasonographic Atlas of Focal Renal Changes” in 2012. Since 2016 he has been the supervisor of the Student Scientific Ultrasound Circle of the University of Warsaw. Lecturer and instructor at ultrasound courses, among others at the Roztoczańska School of Ultrasound, CEDUS Imaging Diagnostics Center, Ultrasound Trainer, Medical Education Center of the Luxmed group.
He is currently engaged in new ultrasound techniques in the study of the gastrointestinal tract, breast (with biopsy) and the use of ultrasound contrast agents (CEUS). He performs ultrasound examinations of the abdominal cavity, thyroid and breast.
